life's latest 'grams

1. just a little shameless public bathroom belly selfie while shopping at Lucy in Disguise... i mean, i matched the walls. how could i not?

2. a beautiful sunday in austin waiting for our favorite pizza spot to open. the combination of sunshine, home slice pizza with my two favorite people and the buzz of south congress just makes my heart happy.

3. my girl playing "mommy"... "look mom! i'm you!"

4. a spontaneous weekday date night at Vespaio. i think it's SO important to carve out time for us as a couple to stay connected despite our always busy schedules. i love that we have been doing it more often lately but i know that will soon change when the little guy arrives so i'm soaking it up!

5. got the nursery painted and the crib assembled... things are getting real y'all!  this little booger would NOT let me take a pic of the empty nursery without her in it! she clearly thought she was hilarious... just like her mama!

6. finally checked out the adorable Walton's. it had so many things that make me happy... coffee, sweet treats and flowers. AND i got to finally meet local blogger, Jenni, that i had been anonymously following forever and who had unknowingly been a big inspiration to me to start my own personal blog. little did i know that she was actually familiar with my senior photography work! i just love the way God introduces people into our lives!

opening up...

i want to write, capture life’s moments and create. to be honest and vulnerable. to share about the things that bring me the greatest joy in life and to share about the parts of life that challenge me. to discuss the things i’m passionate about. i want to carve out my own tiny platform in this big internet world of voices, opinions and personalities.

i’ve written a lot about how important i believe it is to “be YOU” and to embrace the unique traits that set you apart from others over on my photography blog. it has been the foundation of my senior photography business and something i'm truly passionate about. there's nothing more refreshing to me in a person than someone who is unapologetically themselves, without care of society’s pressures or other’s judgments. i’m hoping this blog will be a place that i can practice just that... because, let’s face it: it’s a damn hard thing to do.
